這首蘇東坡在黃州所做的詞，展現了豁達灑脫的修養境界。
定風波是一棟清朝所建的傳統閩南式建築，馬背式的屋簷，有三個院子，美麗的古厝客廳有許多書籍，這裡有五間套房，其中有一間是三人房，我喜歡院落的悠閒與雅緻，藍天白雲的陪伴，相映植栽綠意盎然，給自己一個半天的悠閒，洗滌都會的塵埃，鄰近有得月樓、金水國小等古蹟與歷史建築，來一趟徒步小旅行，放鬆身心再出發。
Ding Feng Bo — Walk Gently Through Wind and Rain
“Do not mind the sound of rain beating through the woods.
Why not sing freely and walk on at an easy pace?”
These celebrated lines were written by the great Song Dynasty poet Su Dongpo (Su Shi) during his years in Huangzhou. His poem Ding Feng Bo (定風波) expresses a remarkable philosophy of life — remaining calm, open-minded, and at ease even when encountering wind and rain along the journey.
It is this spirit that inspired the name of Ding Feng Bo Homestay.
A Traditional Kinmen House
Ding Feng Bo is a traditional Minnan-style residence built during the Qing Dynasty.
Its architecture features the distinctive “horseback-shaped” roofline, a traditional form commonly seen in historic Minnan architecture.
The house unfolds around three courtyards, creating a gentle rhythm of indoor and outdoor spaces. Sunlight, breeze, plants, and changing shadows become part of everyday life here.
Inside, the beautiful traditional living room is filled with books, inviting guests to sit down, read for a while, enjoy a cup of tea, or simply spend some quiet time doing nothing at all.
There are five private en-suite guest rooms, including one triple room, making the house suitable for couples, families, and friends traveling together.

What I love most about Ding Feng Bo is the quiet elegance of its courtyards.
Under Kinmen’s blue skies and drifting white clouds, the old house is surrounded by lush greenery and seasonal plants. Here, there is no need to hurry.
Give yourself half a day.
Sit quietly in the courtyard. Read a few pages of a book. Watch the sunlight move across the old walls. Listen to the wind passing beneath the eaves.
For a little while, leave behind the noise and dust of city life.
Ding Feng Bo is also within walking distance of several important historic landmarks, including Deyue Tower and Jinshui Elementary School, as well as many traditional houses and historic buildings within the surrounding settlement.
Take a leisurely walk through the village and allow yourself to discover Kinmen slowly — one lane, one courtyard, and one old house at a time.
Perhaps this is also the spirit Su Dongpo wished to leave with us:
Life will always have its wind and rain.
But we can still choose to walk gently, calmly, and with an open heart.
